iPads given to sick kids
SLIDELL – A Slidell insurance company has become an inaugural corporate sponsor for the Miracle Children’s Foundation, Bryan Newman, founder of the non-profit group announced.
Dennis Neyland and Chris Workman, co-owners of Timber Creek Insurance Services and Workman Insurance Group, had already been “exceptionally generous supporters of MCF,” said Slidell resident Newman, adding that they have now stepped up as a corporate sponsor.
The Miracle Children’s Foundation (MCF) is “dedicated to supporting children battling cancer and serious blood disorders,” explained Newman. MCF collaborates with hospitals such as: Manning Family Children’s Hospital, Ochsner Children’s Hospital, and Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in Baton Rouge to gift such vital items such as Apple iPads, to keep the children up with their education and keeping them engaged with their social life.
“Dennis and Chris have demonstrated exceptional generosity and compassion through their support, recognizing the impactful work MCF performs in assisting young patients facing life-threatening illnesses,” Newman noted. “It is an honor to have esteemed companies such as Timbercreek Insurance Services and Workman Insurance Group recognize and endorse our efforts to aid children fighting for their lives against cancer. Without the essential support and contributions from partners like Timbercreek and Workman, it would not be possible to bring moments of joy and relief to these courageous young warriors.”
Timber Creek and Workman Insurance have offices in Bogalusa and Slidell, and the co-owners have been strongly supportive of many non-profit organizations since the beginning.
“They truly believe in philanthropy and giving back, which is why they also support the local rodeo circuit and bicycle giveaways for Christmas to children in need,” Newman added.
Timber Creek and Workman Insurance are two of the fastest growing specialized insurance brokerage companies, with a primary focus on property and casualty insurance, delivering tailored solutions primarily for commercial clients, including high-risk sectors such as transportation, logging, lumber, and construction.
