Tigers aim to pick things up in district

SLIDELL — After winning two games in a row, the Slidell Tigers have lost three straight.
Last week the Tigers lost a tough one to Thibodaux 6-4. Slidell was leading 4-2 going into the fourth inning, but then THS scored three runs in the fourth inning and one in the sixth to end up with the win.
Family Christian defeated Slidell prior to that in a close 3-1 battle. The Tigers’ sole run came in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Slidell also lost to Riverside 8-2 last week as well.
Before the three losses, Slidell beat Albany in a slugfest 17-4, and defeated Amite 13-1.
The Tigers will play in the Albany Tournament this weekend. The games will take place on Saturday against Albany and St.?Thomas Aquinas.
