SLIDELL — Gymnastics Plus Acrobatic Team just completed another winning season.
The team, coached by Jurek and Melanie Pol, have collected, since their first qualifying meet in April, numerous gold, silver and bronze medals. The South West Region Acrobatic Gymnastics Championships was held in Louisiana.
The following athletes attended and medaled:
Girls Pairs Level 4 – Natalie Newman and Kaitlyn O’Dowd – Gold.
Girls Pairs Level 6 – Tiana Smalls and Hannah Wicks – Bronze.
Girls Pairs Level 8 – Sydney Williams and Brecan Morgan – Bronze.
“It was an honor for our athletes to be able to qualify in previous Local, State and Regional competitions,” Jurek said. “We are looking forward to forming a strong competitive team for our next 2013 season.”
The South-West Region consists of Louisiana, Texas, Florida, New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Tennessee and Alabama.
