SLIDELL — Pope John Paul was a little too powerful for the young Archbishop Hannan tennis team.
Leading the way was No. 1 singles player, junior Arjun Singh with a great match against experienced player Evan Eirmann, 6-2, 7-5.
The PJP boys won all five lines to improve their record to a perfect 5-0.
On the girls side for PJP, leading the way was sophomore Kristin Calamari with a 6-0, 6-1 win in singles. Calamari is playing very consistent and has a perfect record of 5-0 right now. The PJP girls team is 4-1 overall.

BOYS
In singles one, PJP’s Arjun Singh defeated Hannan’s Evan Eiermann, 6-2, 7-5.
In singles two, PJP’s Tyler Darouse defeated Hannan’s Doug Hartigan, 6-2, 6-0.
In doubles one, PJP’s Joseph Ammond and Alex Maurin defeated Hannan’s Zack Castellucio and Adrian Lapeyornie, 6-0, 6-0.
In double two, PJP’s Ross Armond and John?Babin defeated Hannan’s Brock Johnson and Bradley Burns, 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles three, PJP’s Luie Martinez and Blake Everard defeated Castellucio and Lapeyornie, 8-0.
GIRLS
In singles one, Hannan’s Grace Gianoli defeated PJP’s Grace Jovanovic, 6-4, 6-4.
In singles two, PJP’s Kristin Calamari defeated Alexandria Dadinsky, 6-0, 6-1.
In doubles one, PJP’s Elizabeth Calamari and Hannan Malus defeated Alison Rubio and Marissa Trupani, 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles two, PJP’s Monica Jensen and Sam Tatum won by forfeit.
In doubles three, PJP’s Lizzy Favre and Abby Jovanovic won by forfeit.

In singles two, NLC’s Nic Kalman defeated PJP’s Darouse, 6-3, 6-3.

In doubles two, PJP”s Armond and Babin defeated NLC’s Collin Celpi and Garret Kuracka, 6-1, 7-6, 7-0.
