Elsie Palmer Burkhalter, of Slidell, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016.
A wake service will be held on Sunday, December 18 at the Slidell City Auditorium, 2056 2nd Street, Slidell.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m., and the service will be held from 7 to 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 19 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Slidell.
A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. with a Mass at 11 a.m.

Joyce Davis White, of Slidell, passed away at home with her family, on Saturday, December 3, 2016.
She was 84 years old.
She was the beloved wife of the late Philip White, Jr.; and mother of Kristin Mayes (Charlie) of Greensboro, N.C., Robert White (Elaine) of Slidell, Susan Hart (Donald) of Carriere, MS, Jane Cranford (Mark Faciane) of Slidell and the late John Philip White (Jacquelyn).
She is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of Dorothy Cade, the late Rector Davis, Hugh Davis, Vannis Dick, Jeanne Rice, Bill Davis and Ethel Wright.
She was a native of Wellington, KS and a resident of Slidell since 1963. She was a nurse and worked for many years at Greenbriar Nursing Home.
She was active in Slidell Little Theatre along with her husband for many years.
Memorial services were held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West (in Forest Lawn Cemetery), Slidell, on Tuesday, December 13.

Consuello Christine Latham went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 11, 2016.
She was 86 years old.
She was the mother of Deborah Christine “Christy” Houpy Wegmann of Slidell, Walter Thomas “Tommy” Houpy of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Charles Edward “Sonny” Houpy of Jesuit Bend, David Wayne Houpy of Venice, and the late Sharon Rose Houpy Niles; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Consuello was born in Churchill, Mississippi and later moved to Louisiana where she started her career as a public health nurse in Port Sulphur, Louisiana and later went on to work at the VA Hospital in New Orleans until 1981 where she ultimately retired from nursing.
The family would like to thank all those at Anderson Memory Care for their love and compassion for mom.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell, Louisiana on December 16 at 7 p.m..
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until service time.
A private burial will take place at a later date.

Alice Claire Bergstrom Ridaught, beloved wife of Harold Leslie Ridaught, Jr., went to be with our Lord and savior on Saturday, December 10, 2016.
Alice was born on September 9, 1938 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. Alice and Harold just recently celebrated 58 years of marriage.
They have resided in the Lacombe area since 1989, coming from Huntsville, AL.
She is survived by sons, Harold, III, Steven (Traci), and Gary Ridaught (Lauree); three grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a sister, Dorothy Chenard of Suecasunna, N.J.
She and her children spent many years overseas with her husband, who retired after 26 years of service in the U.S. Air Force.
She began her career as an X-ray Technician in St. Petersburg, FL and also with her husband at March AFB, CA, Ramey A.B., Puerto Rico and Vanderberg AFB, CA.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Alice E. Rand and her father, P.G. Ture Bergstrom.
Memorial services will be held at the Woodlawn Baptist Church, Johnson, Florida, on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at 11 a.m.
Donations to the American Cancer Society, preferred, in lieu of flowers.

Mrs. JoAnne Hayman Brown, of Slidell, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016.
She was 76 years old.
She was affectionately called ‘Jo Jo’ by the many who loved her.
She was the loving mother of Elizabeth Brown Langlois, her husband Mitch, and his children Elliot and Alice of Fair Oaks, CA, Debbie Brown McKeough, her husband Jamie, and their children Sarah, Jordan, Kyle and Kelly of Slidell, LA and Nicole Brown Goletz, her husband Drew, and their children Jude and Joie of Wesley Chapel, FL.
She is also survived by her sisters, Janice Thomas (George), Faye Dubay, and Shari Prudhomme (Jimmy) and dearest friend Sylvia Parker.
She retired from her work family at the offices of Drs. Gosey and Finger as their X-ray technologist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Brown; her parents, Joseph and Edith Hayman; and sister, (Kay Irene Hayman)
A memorial service was held on Dec. 12 at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell.

Leon Guidry Jr., of Slidell, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016.
He was 82 years old.
He was the beloved husband of Carol B. Guidry for 60 years; father of Scott Guidry (Kelli Persac); and Don Guidry (Robin); son of the late Leon Guidry and Jeanne Ledet Guidry; and brother of Noel Guidry; Sylvia Schiro and the late Roy Guidry.
He is also survived by his granddaughter Lori Ann Guidry.
Leon retired after 35 years from South Central Bell.
A memorial service was held on Dec. 10 at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell.
