Andrew Arnold Egnew Jr., of Slidell, passed away at his home on Saturday, March 24, 2012.
He was the husband of Theta Holston Egnew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna Mercier Egnew and Andrew Arnold Egnew Sr.
Egnew was the father of Dawn Allen, Rev. Armond Egnew, Kim Alack, Andrew Arnold Egnew III, Lisa Cannino, Aaron Egnew and Darron Egnew; and brother of Joyce Ann Kupper, Emmet Egnew and the late Robert Jules Egnew.
He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Egnew was a native of Ponchatoula, La. and a longtime resident of Slidell. He was a retired State Probation and Parole Officer. He was a member of the American Camellia Society, Gulf Coast Camellia Society, Slidell Camellia Club, New Orleans Camellia Club.
Funeral services were held at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell on?March 27.

Ann C. Spence, of Slidell, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Slidell Memorial Hospital.
She was 66 years old.
Spence was born on August 17, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY; daughter of the late Eric and Violet Fink.
Spence is survived by her sister, April Deyoung of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; and companion, Jerry Jabes, Ponchatoula, La.
Spence was a retired administrative assistant for Lockheed Martin after 25 years of dedicated service and a longtime resident of Slidell.

Don N. Carmody, a 35-year resident of Slidell, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Trinity Neurological Center.
He was 70 years old.
Carmody was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Carol Herington Carmody.
He was the father of Kitty Carmody Hagan and Eileen Carmody-Wicks; and “Papa” of Bree Hagan, Ashton Wicks and Hannah Wicks, all of Slidell. He was the only child of the late Dr. Donald R. Carmody and Violette Nyland Carmody.
Carmody joined the U.S. Navy as an electronics technician and nuclear reactor operator. During his Navy years, he served aboard several submarines, including the USS Sargo and USS James Madison. He was involved with St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church for 35 years. Together with his wife, he received the honor of the Order of St. Louis IX Medallion in recognition of their dedication to the work of the Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
A funeral mass will be at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church on March 31 at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, his family asks that masses be said, donations made to the St. Margaret Mary Building Fund, Second Harvest of New Orleans, or the charity of your choice.

Austin “Buddy”?Green Beasley Sr., of Slidell, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 21, 2012.
He was 81 years old.
He was the husband of Ida Lee Tye Beasley for the past 58 years; father of Austin G. Beasley Jr., Kenneth ‘Kenny’ O. Beasley, Susie Beasley and Thomas ‘Tommy’ Beasley; and brother of Arthur Beasley Jr. and the late Laura Sue Spence.
He is also survived by six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and three nieces.
Beasley was a retired Aircraft Inspector for Chevron. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in Korea.
Funeral services were held at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell on March 26.

Ralph A. Holmes, of Slidell, passed away on December 10, 2011.
He was 70 years old.
Holmes was a native of New Orleans, and a resident of Slidell for 52 years. He was a retired employee of The Louisiana Department of Transportation as a Bridge Attendant.
He was the husband of 47 years to the late Ursula Gomez Holmes; brother of Darryl Louis Holmes and the late Judith Holmes Clark; brother-in-law of Dawn Lofton Holmes; and uncle of Joni C. Babylon, Brian A. Clark, Stephen A. Clark, Chad A. Clark, Jason L. Holmes, Merrill Gomez, Raphael Gomez, Martin Gomez, Jamie Gomez and Erin G. Marquez.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Holmes at a memorial gathering on Saturday, March 31 at Jester’s Deli, 27431 Highway 190, Lacombe, from 8 p.m. until midnight.

Walter Carter, a retired salesman and best known for his work with Championship Auto Shows as Chairman for World of Wheels New Orleans, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, of cancer at his Slidell home.
He was 67 years old.
Carter was born in New Orleans and lived in Slidell for 28 years.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Deborah McGuire Carter; five children: Marie Walls, Karen Schnadelbach, Wayne Carter and David and Dionne DeNoux; eightgrandchildren, Alan and Ryan Wolfe, Carter Thompson, Tyler and Spencer Schnadelbach, Kameron Carter and Megan and Joseph DeNoux; one great-grandson, Tyler Wayne DeNoux; brothers, Alan and David Carter; sister, Greta “Peachie” Stakes; and ex-wife, Carolyn Abernathy Carter.
He is preceded in death by parents, Walter “Buck” Carter and Greta Matherne Carter.
Walter’s whole body was donated for science and research.
A memorial mass was held St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 58203 Hwy. 433, Slidell, on March 27.

Charles Thomas “Charlie”?Thrasher Jr., of Pearl River, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012, at his residence.
He was 41 years old.
He was a carpenter in the construction business.
Thrasher is survived by the love of his life, Samantha; three step-children, Mark, Darren and Stephanie Mebruer; siblings, Lon “Lonnie” Thrasher, Timmy Thrasher and Rebecca Ricks; and a grandson, Landon Mebruer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Rosalie Thrasher.
Funeral services were held on March 24 at the chapel of D.T. Williams Funeral Home in Pearl River.
Kenneth L. Milback, of Slidell, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Trinity Neurological Rehabilitation Center in Slidell.
He was 75 years old.
Milback was the companion of Cheryl Castillon; son of the late Louis and Zelda Milback; and brother of Delores M. Lane and the late Arnold L. Milback and Phyllis M. Martin.
Milback was a native of Iowa District, IA and a longtime resident of Slidell. He was a client of STARC, where he developed many lasting relationships.
