Helen Louise Fogg Vaughn Gomez, of St. Tammany, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2012.
She was the wife of Henry A. Gomez and by the first marriage to the late Hubert Vernon Vaughn Sr.; mother of Michael Joseph Vaughn, Marilyn Louise Vaughn Crosby and the late Hubert Vernon Vaughn Jr.; sister of the late Monroe Fogg and Clara Belle Smith; grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of 12.
Gomez was a native and lifelong resident of St. Tammany Parish.
Funeral services were held at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell on March 14.

Nell Sturgill Laudun, of Slidell, passed away at her home on Friday, March 9, 2012.
She was the wife of the late Leroy Felix Laudun; mother of Laura Laudun Schwehm, David Lawrence Laudun and the late Randall Clifford Laudun; sister of Dot Sturgill Hamby and the late Ann Sturgill Philibert.
She was the grandmother of seven grandchildren and one late grandchild. She is also survived by a host of great-grandchildren.
Laudun was a native of Jenkins, KY and a resident of New Orleans for 25 years before moving to Slidell in 1971.
Funeral services were held at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell on March 13.

Adelaide Rita Mathes Rodriguez, of Nicholson, Ms., passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2012.
She was 65 years old.
She was the mother of Anthony Rodriguez, Michael Rodriguez and Aline Rodriguez; daughter of the late James Mathes and Bertha Rapp Mathes; and sister of James E. Mathes Jr., Aline A. Mathes and the late Barbara Mathes Spencer.
She is also survived by four grandchildren.
Rodriguez was a native of Bucktown, La., a longtime resident of Lacombe and a resident of Nicholson for the past eight years.

Dianne Howell Brockhaus, a longtime resident of Slidell and a parishioner of Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012.
She was 76 years old.
She was the wife of the late Louis Henry Brockhaus Jr.; mother of Deborah Griffin, Richard Brockhaus, Lynn Stark, Patricia Timmons, Dianne Brockhaus and Robert Brockhaus; daughter of the late Ralph and Esther Howell; and sister of Karen Howell Maceira and the late Ralph A. Howell and Ronald D. Howell.
She is survived by 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass was held at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell on March 12.

Kourtney Leigh Martin Morgan, of Slidell, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, after a battle with breast cancer.
She was a native of St. Bernard Parish and a resident of Slidell.
She was 34 years old.
Morgan graduated from Chalmette High School in 1996 and earned her masters as a registered dietician from Louisiana Tech in 2002. Upon graduation, she was hired at Slidell Memorial Hospital and worked for 10 years.
Morgan is survived by husband, Steve Morgan; three children, Kameron Martin, Korrine Morgan and Kole Morgan; and step-mother of Cassandra Morgan, Savannah Morgan and Nicholas Morgan.
Morgan is also survived by her parents, Gary “Arky” and Patsy Martin; two brothers, Kevin (wife Carol) and Kazz (wife Krystal); her best friend and only sister, Kacie Mule (husband David); and granddaughter of Violet Shuff.
She was the godmother of Dylan Stortz.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Mary Martin and Arthur Shuff.
Visitation was held on March 8 at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell.

George Rollie Eberhartd Jr. passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2012.
He was a mechanic in the heavy equipment business and served in the United States Army.
Eberhartd is survived by his wife, Faye Delaney Eberhartd; son, Christopher Eberhartd; daughter, Keri Ann Rauch; brothers, Frank and Troy Eberhardt and John and Gary Dykes; and sisters, Alvina and Bonnie Eberhardt and Carol Olsen.
She is survived by three grandchildren.
Visitation was held on March 10 at River Life Fellowship Church, 63433 Hwy. 11 Pearl River.

Maxey Wilcoxan Resweber, of Slidell, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2012.
She was 65 years old.
She was the mother of Ashley Doczy (Paul) of Austin, Texas; Stephanie Becker(John) of Long Island, N.Y.
She is also survived by five grandchildren, Jack, Aidan, Kaitlyn, Kylie and Sean.
Resweber was a native of Hamburg, Ark. and a long time resident of Slidell. She was a real estate agent for over 40 years in St. Tammany Parish.
Funeral services were held at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell on March 9.

Richard Bernard (Van) Van Sandt, of Slidell, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2012, after a lengthy illness.
He was 76 years old.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Ruth Van Sandt.
Van Sandt is survived by his wife of 37 years, Betty; brother of Barry Van Sandt and Marcia Smith; father of Cindy Guthrie Suarez, Jerri Guthrie Reeves and Scott Van Sandt; “Granddad” to Dylan Suarez, Calli Reeves and Leah Suarez; and great-grandfather to Savanna Broom.
Van Sandt was born in Wewoka, Okla., and lived in many places before settling in Slidell. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a flight instructor and pilot of both fixed-wing planes and helicopters. He retired from Chevron Oil Company and served on the Slidell City Council as District C Councilman for 16 years. He loved the City of Slidell and served on numerous committees devoted to maintaining the quality of Slidell life, including the Slidell Beautification Committee.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012, at First Pentecostal Church, 388 Robert Blvd, Slidell. Visitation is at 12 p.m. with a service time at 1.

Deboher Lynn Brooks Dendinger, born February 10, 1958, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2012.
She was 54 years old.
She was the wife of Jacob J. Dendinger III; and mother of Lea Nickels.
A memorial service was held on March 12 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 61051 Brier Lake Road, Lacombe.
Funeral arrangements were handled by D. T. Williams Funeral Home, Pearl River, La.
