Bert Patrick Jennings Sr., of Pearl River, passed away on Sunday. Dec. 8, 2013.
He was 61 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Denise “Cookie” Taylor Jennings; three children, Bert Patrick Jennings Jr., Jeremy Michael Jennings, and Jessica Lynn Jennings; and three grandchildren, Caidence Jennings, Kyleigh Jennings and Bentley Jennings.
Jennings was preceded in death by his parents, William and Melba Jennings; and brothers, William E. Jennings Jr. and Robert Jennings.
Memorial services were held on Dec. 18 from the chapel of D.T. Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Hwy. 41, Pearl River.

John Larry Rosche Sr. , a non-smoker, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, after losing his fight to Lung Cancer.
He was 56 years old.
He was retired from Lockheed Martin where he worked for over 25 years. Rosche also served on the Slidell Memorial Hospital Board of Commissioners from October 2003 until August 2011.
He graduated from Pearl River High in 1975, served four years (1975-1979) in the Air Force, graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1984 and obtained a master’s degree in 1993. He was a member of the Pearl River First Baptist Church and a participant of Leadership Slidell Class of 1994.
Rosche is survived by his wife, Donna Craddock Rosche, to whom he was married 37 years; and two children, John Larry Rosche Jr. and Laura Rosche Condeluci (husband Chris); and two grandchildren, Caroline Faith and Connor John Condeluci.
Rosche is survived by brothers, Dr. Charles William Rosche (wife Lisa) and Henry Rosche III; and sister, Patricia Rosche Warden.
He was preceded in death by parents, Henry Rosche Jr. and Margie Byrnes Rosche.
Funeral services were held on Dec. 16 at D.T. Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Hwy. 41, Pearl River.
Brother Toby Pitman officiated.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pearl River First Baptist Church Building Foundation.

Betty J. Gibbs, of Adrian, MI, passed away peacefully in Slidell surrounded by friends and family on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013.
She was 78 years old.
She was the wife of the late Clovis E. Gibbs; and mother of Connie Hover and husband, Joseph and Rick Gibbs and wife, Debbie.
She is also survived by her longtime, companion Arthur Davis.
She was the daughter of the late Harvey and Goldie Hoag; sister of Ruth Poley, Richard Hoag and the late Donald, Ronald and Lawrence Hoag; Lucille Hoag, Maxine Gore, Jean Gore, Yvonne Cross, Morita Hoag and May Johnson.
She is also survived by grandchildren, Jeremy Gibbs, Eliska Hover and the late Joshua Gibbs; and great-grandchildren, Hunter, Morgan, Joie and Shayne Hover.
She will be laid to rest in Michigan.

Patrick Joseph Cox, of Slidell, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013.
He was 85 years old.
He was the husband of the late Rose Mary Hall Cox; father of David Cox (Diane) and Alan Cox (Judith); and brother of Aurora Epton, the late Bill Cox, Marian Wagner, Ruth Scholl, Doris Simon, Margie Leritte, Richard Cox and James Cox.
He is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was a member of Germania Lodge #46 and a plural member of Dante Lodge.
He was a retired Longshoreman, a native and lifelong resident of New Orleans, but he moved to Slidell after Katrina.
Funeral services were held at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell on Dec. 16.

Mary Elizabeth Russell passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013.
She was 95 years old.
Russell was a member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by “her boy” Stephen Jordan and his wife, Holly Jordan and their two daughters, Delilah and Lorelei.
A graveside service was held on December 13 at Hickory Memorial Gardens Cemetery located in Pearl River.

Nathan “Nate”?Alan Cullum “Nate Dogg,”a native of Little Rock, Ark., and a resident of Slidell for the past 29 years, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, in Slidell.
He was 34 years old.
He is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Sandra Cullum of Gulfport, Ms.; sisters, Lori Webb (Heath) of Biloxi, Ms., and Rebecca Dickson (Larry) of Slidell; and uncle to Justin Dickson and Tyler Dickson of Slidell, Alyssa Webb, Kayla Webb, and Logan Webb, all of Biloxi, Ms.
He is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, who loved him dearly.
Cullum worked at Chillco in Mandeville and Baton Rouge.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.
Funeral services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West (in Forest Lawn Cemetery), Slidell, on Friday, Dec. 20 at 1 p.m.
Friends may visit the funeral home on Friday beginning at 11 a.m.

Gladys Callahan Barnes, of Slidell, passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013.
She was 82 years old.
She was the wife of the late Everette D. Barnes; mother of Stephen Barnes, David Barnes and wife Camille, Laura B. Mushko and husband Jim; and Dianne B. Harris and husband Loren; and daughter of the late Samuel and Fannie E. Callahan.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael Barnes, Claire Callahan Barnes, Benjamin Barnes, Bethany Barnes Newman, Rachael Barnes, Brian Harris and Ashley Harris.
She was a native of Aberdeen, Ms.
There will be a private memorial service at a later date.

Jerry “JT” Glenn Taylor passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013.
He was 48 years old.
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Lemoine; two brothers, Jack Gillikin Sr. (Pat) and David Gillikin; five sisters, Jeannie Deyo (Butch), Ruth Stefanakis, Darlene Taylor, Sherry Thibodeaux (Bill), Anita Peter.
He is also survived by nieces, Tammy Guidry, Tania Stefanakis, Dawn Owens, Tiffany Palao, Steffany Price, Brittany Palao, Lacey Gillikin; and seven nephews, Jack Gillikin Jr. David Gillikin Jr., Chris Arthur, Charles Arthur Jr., Joshua Gillikin and Dexter Lightell Jr., Michael Schmiderer;
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie “Jack” Taylor and Anna Mills.
