William Crandall Brownlow Jr., known as Bill by family and friends and as Will by many other friends, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2012.
He was born on April 18, 1954, in Little Rock, Ark. and graduated from Slidell High in 1972 and attended University of Arkansas where he played football as an Arkansas Razorback.
He was the son of Ina Lapeyrolerie Brownlow and the late William Crandall Brownlow Sr.; brother of Maria B. Parks (John) of Baton Rouge, Debbie B. Moore (Artie) of Houston, Jeff Brownlow of Aberdeen, WA, Laura B. Franco (Will) of Slidell, and Stephanie B. Loman (Sean) of Slidell; and uncle of Becki Dalrymple, Jennifer Rossel, Ami McGucken, Stuart Parks, Hannah Brownlow and Alex Franco.
Visitation was held at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Slidell on April 2.
Masses, flowers or donations to the American Heart Association are appreciated.

Arthur Henry Stock III, of Bogalusa, La. passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2012.
He was 65 years old.
He was the husband of Linda Farrell Stock; father of Valerian ‘V.J.” James Stock, Louanna “Jody” Primeaux, Loren “Peewee” Stock and Charles “Chuck” Stock; and brother of Lyle Stock and Jody Stock.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
Stock was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Slidell for over 35 years. He retired from Lockheed Martin after 28 years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the graveside services and interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 1751 Gause Blvd. West, Slidell, on Thursday, April 5 at 10 a.m.

Helen Parent Fitzwilson, of Slidell, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2012.
She was 89 years old.
She was the wife of the late Stetson W. Fitzwilson; daughter of the late Charles R. Parent and Myrtle Wheeler Parent; and mother of Eileen F. Durand and James Edward Fitzwilson.
She is also survived by three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Fitzwilson was a native of New Orleans and a longtime resident of Slidell. She was a parishioner of Christ Episcopal Church, where she was active in the Altar Guild, Episcopal Church Women and St. Clare’s and St. Francis’ Guild.
Funeral services were held at Christ Episcopal Church, 1534 Seventh Street, Slidell, on March 23.

Eric Paul Anderson Jr., of Baton Rouge, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2012.
He was 31 years old.
He was the son of Eric P. Anderson Sr. (wife Sherry) and Dale Donnelly (Marty Evans); and brother of Ashley Anderson, Tony Evans, Kristie Evans, Kara Evans, Ronnie Williams, Dawn Williams and Brian Ruth.
He is also survived by grandparents, Eugene Paul Anderson, Barbara Ruppert; and the late Dolores Donnelly and Jack Donnelly; and a niece, McKena Ardoin; and two nephews, Brennan and Cullen Hymal.
Anderson was a native of Slidell, and a resident of Baton Rouge for over 10 years.
Funeral services were held at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell on March 28.

Cecilia Weber Whittaker, of Slidell, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2012.
She was 47 years old.
She was the wife of Doug Whittaker; mother of Gustave, Samantha and Danielle Whittaker; daughter of Gerard Weber and the late Carole Weber; and sister of Regina Weber and twin sister of Theresa Weber.
Whittaker was a native of Jericho, N.Y. and graduate of Georgetown University School of Languages and Linguistics.
Funeral services were held at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell on March 29.

Christy Michelle Babb, of Slidell, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012.
She was 27 years old.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her parents, Jerry and Linda Reagan Babb; daughter, Jada Skylar Babb; brothers, Jerry Michael Babb Jr., Justin Tyler Babb, Jason Dewayne Riles; and godmother, Dartiss McCrory Babb.
She is preceded in death by Willie Jack Babb Sr. and Lonnie and Lavada Brink Reagan.
Visitation was held at the Picayune Church of God on March 29 and March 30.

James Albert Roper, of Memphis, Tenn., passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
He was the husband of Ginger McLendon Roper; and was preceded in death by his parents, Isabella Vath Roper and Irven Moore Roper.
He was the father of Randle James Roper, Staff Sergeant Stephen Joseph Roper and Dr. Kristy Roper Kennedy; grandfather to seven; and brother of Dick Roper, David Roper, Patsy St. Angelo, Joe Roper, Mary Cramer and the late Charles and Bill Roper.
Roper was actively involved in First United Methodist Church in Slidell and later at Christ United Methodist Church in Memphis. He was also involved with Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Slidell High School and Memphis East High School.
For his numerous contributions to the community, Roper was presented the key to the city of Slidell by Mayor Webb Hart.
A funeral service was held at First United Methodist Church in Slidell on March 31.

Melba Dianne Johnson Kerlee, of Slidell, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012.
She was 62 years old.
She was the wife of the late Herbert Kerlee; mother of Gwendolyn Halbrook Thompson, Cherie Masters, the late Robert Halbrook and Sandra Smith; and sister of Iris Copeland, Inez (Onnie) Otto, the late Eugene Johnson, Kenneth Oliver Johnson and William Richard.
She is also survived by five grandchildren.
Kerlee was a native of Herron Bay, Ala., and a longtime resident of Slidell.
Graveside services were held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidell on March 31.

Joseph Dunne, of Slidell, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Slidell Memorial Hospital.
He was 62 years old.
He is survived by his daughters, Judy Lyn Williams and Victoria Dunne Gaines; brothers, Anthony Ernest Dunne, Timothy Dion Ryan and Robert Ryan; and sister, Edwina J. Dunne.
He is also survived by four grandchildren.
Dunne was preceded in death by his wife, Mary “Judy” Dunne; parents, Edward Joseph and Ruby Whaley Dunne; and Edward Joseph Dunne Jr., Jean Bossier and Mary Dunne.
Funeral services were held at Williams Funeral Home in Pearl River on March 31.

Bonnie Herring Beal passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2012.
She was 102 years old.
She is survived by three grandsons, two granddaughters, 20 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchild.
Beal was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Beal; two children, William Aaron David Beal and Frankie Lee Crawford; parents, John and Nina Herring; three sisters; one brother; and one grandson, two great-grandsons and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on April 2 from the chapel of D.T. Williams Funeral Home.
