Donnie Lee Schween colorDonnie Lee Schween of Slidell passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017.

He was 75 years of age.

He was the beloved husband of the late Bonnie S. Schween and longtime partner of Dianne Klaus. Also, father of Lyle J. Schween and partner Rachel Maddox; and Leanne Schween-Archer and husband, Shane.

Also, son of the late Ferdinand Schween and Wilhelmina Karst Schween; brother of the late Marvin Schween, Melford Schween, and Dean Schween; and grandfather of Lila Schween.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to funeral services at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd., West, (in Forest Lawn Cemetery), Slidell on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 1 p.m.

Interment will follow with military honors in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Slidell.

Visitation at Honaker Funeral Home on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 11 a.m. until funeral time at 1 p.m.

Elaine Frothingham Fish colorElaine Frothingham Fish, 81, of Hattiesburg, MS, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017, in Slidell.

She is survived by two children: Arthur Geoffrey Fish (Carolyn), and Alice Fish-Barattini (Lawrence); and five grandchildren: Abbie Berthelot, Hunter Fish, Kelly Finnegan, Andrew Finnegan, and Lucien Barattini.

A native of New York, New York, and a resident of Hattiesburg since 1964, she was a graduate of McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg.

She retired from Petal High School in Petal, Miss.

Memorial services will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 3117 West 4th Street, in Hattiesburg, Ms. on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 11 a.m.

A reception will follow at the church.



William Hendrix Jr colorWilliam “Bill” J. Hendrix, Jr., of Pearl River passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017.

He was 58 years old.

He was the husband of Delores Schmiderer Hendrix; father of Kenny Lesley, Joel Decker (Paul), Angelic Bertacci (Chris), Billy Hendrix, III, and Stephen Hendrix, Sr.; and son of the late William James Hendrix, Sr. and Cecile Kennedy Hendrix.

Also, brother of Mark Hendrix, Keith Hendrix, Beverly Lott (Alvin) and the late Theresa Wilkenson and Ricky Hendrix.

Also, survived by his grandchildren: Heather, Samantha, Angel, Crystina, Ashley, Rachel, Josh, Justin, Ansley, Stephen, Jr., Gabby, Jacob, Zack, Cory and Chris.

Bill was an employee of Folgers Coffee for 36 years.

Funeral services were held at Honaker Funeral Home (in Forest Lawn Cemetery on Friday, April 14, 2017 at 11 a.m.

Interment in Forest Lawn Cemtery.




Randolph Bauer colorRandolph “Randy” Mitchell Bauer, 73, died at Slidell Memorial Hospital on April 11, 2017 in Slidell after a long battle with cancer.

His was the father of Melissa Liverett, Vanessa Burst and Brandon Bauer. Also, son of the late Rudolph and Joyce Porretto Bauer.

He served in the United States Army before gaining his Radiologic Technologist certification in 1964 from Charity Hospital of New Orleans. Bauer was a charter member of the Louisiana Society of Radiologic Technologist.

He was first married to Tyra Fitzmorris, with whom he had his three children, then later married to Marilyn Lambert.

He was a pilot and an aviation enthusiast.

Also grandfather to Nina Liverett; Jude, Sadie, and Chloe Burst; brother of Rudolph, Craig, and Keith Bauer, Mary Bacon and Donna Ralidis.

Funeral held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd., West (in Forest Lawn Cemter) on Monday, April 17.




Carmell Matheson colorCarmell B. Matheson, 89, of Slidell passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017 in Slidell.

She was the wife of the late Rev Rupert C. Matheson; mother of the late Ronnie C. Matheson; daughter of the late Adron G. Biddle and Erma Martin Biddle; and sister of the late Charles Biddle and James Biddle.

Also, mother of Peggy A. Matheson and sister of Vernon Biddle.

Matheson served as a pastor’s wife in Texas, Mississippi, and Louisiana.

Funeral services were held on April 18, 2017 at First Pentecostal Church Slidell.

Interment in Greenwood Memorial Park, 2202 Military Hwy, in Pineville, Louisiana.
